This episode was published in December 2020, just after APRA granted Wise a purchased payment facility licence in Australia.

In January 2025 Tristan Dakin, who has led Wise in Australia and New Zealand since 2022, joined Dexter on the show. By then Wise had almost 13 million active customers worldwide, was moving about £30 billion across borders every quarter, and had direct connections into five countries’ instant payment systems. It had also opened its infrastructure to other financial institutions through Wise Platform, with Up among the first in Australia.
