What happened next.
This episode was published in December 2022, with Kristofer Rogers, then at EonX, and Ben Ford of Frollo giving their predictions for 2023.
In November 2024 Kris returned to the show from Volt, where he had become senior vice president, to review the Singapore Fintech Festival. Dexter recalled Kris calling embedded finance the big thing for 2023 and said that, while he had disagreed at the time, Kris had been right. Kris said he was right to an extent. Dexter said everyone he had spoken to in an embedded finance partnership with a large corporate over the previous two years had the same problems, commercial value and buy-in, and pointed to Wise Platform as an example of what it takes to build.
